Wapo Employment

Being a part of the staff at Wapo is a great opportunity to grow in faith and service for the gospel. If you have a love for children, a strong desire to grow in faith, are personable, can work with others, enjoy playing games, and have an appreciation for the Lutheran Church, you will enjoy the environment at the Wapo site. Working at Wapo takes a lot of energy and a flexible spirit, but there will be awesome opportunities to impact others in the name of Jesus. Each summer there will be around sixty college age staff members hired, which creates an awesome opportunity to be a part of a Christian community and develop relationships firm in the foundation of Christ. The staff will be split into six teams that will help create the program for one day of the week. Not only do teams help with programming, but they break the larger community into small groups to help meet spiritual needs. The daily schedule includes Bible studies, chapels, free time activities, cabin activities, campfires, worships, and all camp games. For summer staff the work schedule is thirteen weeks long which includes two weeks of staff training and eleven weeks of youth camp. Weeklong staff will have an hour off Monday through Thursday along with Friday night until Sunday morning as time off. We will also ask that each summer staff member takes a week off at some point in the summer to reenergize for the following weeks. Please fill out an application to the Wapo site if you are interested. We will be in contact with you soon after your application has been submitted.
