Ox Lake Employement
Ox Lake Lutheran Bible Camp has three different international villages set apart on about 300 acres of land. Being a staff member at Ox Lake is an awesome opportunity to share the gospel with kids through a world perspective. We also focus on being good stewards of the environment, and appreciating all of God's creation. International staff, worships, Bible studies, meals, and games all help kids understand what it means to be a part of the global body of Christ. Each summer, including international staff, we hire approximately fifteen staff members to help run the Ox Lake site. The work schedule for the summer is twelve weeks. The first two weeks are staff training, and ten weeks with the weeklong youth camp. Working at Ox Lake requires a flexible attitude, and openness to helping with all aspects of programming. If you have a desire to teach kids about a world of faith in Christ, a love for the outdoors, and want to enjoy a summer within a community of believers, please fill out an application. We will contact you soon after your application has been submitted.
The Ox Lake site is also where the Journey programs are run. Journey of the Cross is a high adventure program where staff will lead groups throughout Northwest Wisconsin. Counselors help campers experience tent living while they participate in Ox Lake's Low and High Ropes Challenge Course, bike along the Gandy Dancer Trail System, Canoe the St. Croix River, Rock Climb the Bluffs of Interstate Park, and Horseback ride at Ox Lake. Journey of the Runner is a specialized week to help kids grow as runners and as followers of Christ. Journey of the Heart is a service-learning week focused on the role of compassion and service in our Faith and in our lives. The staff for Journey will be made up of four to six members that will lead small groups between 5-25 members of older Junior High and High School youth. Youth and staff are challenged physically, spiritually, and emotionally. The summer schedule includes twelve weeks. Three weeks will be staff training and nine weeks will be spent leading groups on different Journeys. If you want to be physically and spiritually challenged, and want to develop deep relationships with kids and staff, please send in an application. We will contact you soon after your application has been submitted.
