Support the Camps of LWLBC

Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp Inc is continuously faced with great challenges to meet the financial needs of its programs, buildings and land and its staff.  We ask you to come along with us in preparing and training future leaders of our church and our communities.  Through supporting your congregations ministry, Bible camping has proven to be an experience which is not matched.

What does the church need?   How can LWLBC help?

  • We become an extension of your congregation's programs and facilities.  Through retreats and summer programs we can assist in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
  • Programs are designed to provide the needed space for youth and adults to explore and examine their own faith in four unique locations and contexts.
  • Camps provide necessary assistance to congregations and the communities they are in.  We are extensions of each individual congregation’s programs and ministry.  Through conversation, our camps have recognized the need to remain connected to the congregation to provide the most effective faith filled experience possible.

How can you make a difference?

  • God has brought us together in Christ.  LWLBC has become a place for youth and adults to solidify their baptismal walk with Jesus or to see Jesus for the first time!  You are able to assist us in this monstrous goal.
  • To support our programs, staff and sites, you are able to give to our great mission.  Further, we will be able to complete the needed improvements to our sites and to develop and evaluate our programs.
  • We invite you to support our camps.  God has called us all to give out of abundance and to help others in their faith walk.

Financial Changes at LWLBC:

  • Through the many wonderful and charitable members, families, organizations and foundations our camps are able to keep the highest quality programs and the safe sites.  Without these gifts we would not be able to keep our registration and retreat fees as low as they are.  Please consider Wapo, Ox Lake, Luther Dell and Wilderness Canoe Base for your end of the year gift, estate or will or a place to give a long lasting gift.

Financial Realities:

  • Gifts from families and friends are vital to our ministry.  Our member congregations cover only 5 percent of Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp’s 2.9 million dollar budget.  Revenue from our fees covers 80 percent.  Generous gifts from our friends make up the 15 percent needs for our ministry to be successful.
  • Your gifts support campers!  In 2006, Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp offered over $100,000 in scholarships and congregational grants.
